Kazunori Sakamoto, Sneh Lata Goyal and Kazuyuki Inubushi(Faculty of Horticulture, Chiba University)
We investigated the microbial properties of the soils amended with organic matter in order to develop the microbiological index to evaluate the system for sustainable soil management. It was found that the qCO2 and specific dehydrogenase activity are closely related to the yield of crop in the long-term organic amended soil. However, these microbial parameties were not related to the yield of crop in the short-term organic amended soil.
